Topics to be discussed include the role of Homeownership Centers, credit and underwriting, valuation and minimum property standards, quality assurance and lender monitoring, recent policy updates, the Loan Review System and e-binder submissions.  Lenders will be able to provide comments and ask questions to the HOC leadership team including senior level HUD-FHA expert line staff, an underwriter and an appraiser.  Lender senior managers and executives are encouraged to attend.

June 18, 2019, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Eastern)  FHA Underwriting Training - Pittsburgh, PA This free, half-day, on-site training will provide an overview of FHA underwriting procedures and addresses several industry-related frequently asked questions (FAQs) as outlined in FHA's Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1. This training will also take an in-depth look at a variety of topics, including: credit, income, and asset (CIA) documentation; manual underwriting; automated underwriting systems (AUS); closing; and more. Registration required. No fee.

June 18, 2019, 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM (Eastern) – FHA Appraisal Training - Pittsburgh, PA This free, half-day, on-site training will cover FHA appraisal requirements, including appraisal protocols and updates to appraisal policy as outlined in the Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1. Discussions include policy changes and clarifications, and updates on other topics including: property acceptability; underwriting the appraisal; minimum property requirements; property defects; enhanced appraiser and underwriter responsibilities and requirements, programs and products (e.g., 203(k)); and much more. Registration required. No fee.
